STILL only a handful of faith-based apps are beautiful.
The rest... well the rest look like AI clearly made them (even though many old ones exist pre-AI). They all look very boilerplate. No originality. No style. No soul.
I also have woken up to see this amongst many modern churches. You see old churches are still places where the world goes wow. Hmmm it’s almost like they are not of this world—a little piece of Heaven on earth. And well I think the same should be true for everything a believer makes. And especially if if that thing is to honor and help build God’s kingdom like a church.
Instead we get these churches that are giant boxes and you could easily get them confused with an event center.
Now the app I’ve been designing and putting a lot of thought and heart into over these past 3 years isn’t a work of art by any means. But I do think you could say it has a point of view. There is a certain soul to it. And there are things that you wouldn’t expect because others don’t do it this way.
More apps need to think differently. More apps need a designer. And maybe just maybe I can help others out. Because faith based apps deserve to be beautiful—something the world says wow at.
